Who is JUNIUS and what are you offering?


Junius is a multi award-winning cold-pressed juice and super supplement business founded by three siblings, Maria, Paula and John. Co-founder Maria King is a certified practitioner from the world-renowned Institute for Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine looks at the whole body as interconnected systems and addresses chronic lifestyle diseases (including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer) at the root level through nutrition and lifestyle interventions, encompassing nutritional science and biochemistry.

Why should I choose JUNIUS?


We take the complexity of the science of food and give it simplexity. Our co-founder, Maria, is a qualified Nutritional Therapist and Certified Practitioner from the Institute for Functional Medicine. She has developed the JUNIUS range of delicious and nutrient-rich cold-pressed juices, nut milks, powerful shots and super supplements with a ‘science first’ approach.


We understand that there is conflicting advice out there and we aim to remove the confusion. We start from a scientific knowledge base to develop our delicious recipes, which are divided into seven user-friendly pillars, each targeting specific health goals. PRODUCT FAQ:


Why cold-pressed?


Our passion is to produce the best juice possible. Our individually formulated cold-pressed juices, nut milks and powerful shots are handcrafted in small batches and immediately bottled, giving us complete quality control and you the best product possible.


We use a powerful stainless-steel hydraulic press to extract every drop of pure juice from fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs. Cold pressing is a reassuringly slow process using pressure, not heat, to create a superior product. Oxidation is minimal so more natural vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes are retained. Pulp is removes and all that’s left is crisp, vibrant juice. Our nut milks (POW and REV) are simply blended with filtered water to create a rich, creamy base. Delicious ingredients are then added to create our unique formulations.


Once bottled, sealed products are submerged in vats of cold water where high pressure (again, no heat!) is exerted. This method is called High Pressure Processing or HPP. Microbes and pathogens can’t survive in this environment and the added benefit of this process is shelf-life extension. Flavour and nutritional integrity from the important stage of cold pressing remain intact.


What is the shelf life of your products?

VUnopened and stored chilled, our juices and shots are good until the date printed on the bottle. You can expect around 14 days for ZEN, SPA, ZAP, ZIP + FAB, and around 7 days for POW + REV. Consume within 24 hours once opened and always keep refrigerated. Our supplements are ambient. Check the bottle for shelf life.


Are your juices and shots meal replacements?

Our range has been designed to provide additional supportive nutrients to help your body thrive and work alongside a balanced eating regime. They are not intended to be meal replacements.


Are your products suitable for vegans?

All our juices, nut milks, shots and supplements are 100% vegan and plant-based with the exception of the FAB shot, which includes high-grade marine collagen.


Are your products free from gluten and dairy?

Yes, all are juices, nut milks, shots and supplements are free from gluten and dairy.


Are your products suitable for people with allergies?

We would advise you to check the nutritional information listed under each product, where you’ll find a full list of ingredients, allergens and our allergy statement.


Why has my juice separated?

All our juices and shots are natural – free from stabilisers, chemicals or nasties – just give them a shake!


Is there sugar in your juices?

At JUNIUS we don’t add any sugars to our drinks. The naturally occurring sugar in our juices and shots is purely from the juice we extract from the vegetables, fruit and herbs that make up our recipes. With the exception of our POW nut milk where we’ve added honey.


Are your juices pasteurised?

Never! We use a process call HPP - High Pressure Processing. Once bottled we carefully place our juices in a vat of cold water and apply extremely high levels of pressure to remove potentially harmful bacteria, therefore extending shelf life without the use of preservatives. All the vitamins, minerals and enzymes found in our juices remain intact using this method.


Are your products suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women? 

Our range has been designed to ensure that you can choose with the utmost confidence. Honesty and clarity are important to us. GIFT CARDS:


Terms of Gift Card usage?

Our electronic gift cards are for online use only at wearejunius.com. Gift cards are considered live from the point of purchase and can only be used in line with our standard terms and conditions.

All gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift cards come in three denominations - £30, £50 and £75. The chosen denomination will be issued on one gift card only.

Purchasers can order multiple gift cards for different recipients in one transaction. They will receive one email per purchased gift card. Promotional discount codes cannot be used to purchase gift cards. Only one gift card voucher code can be applied to any single basket or purchase.
If the recipient does not redeem the entire value of the gift card in one transaction, the balance will remain on the gift card until expiration. If the recipient wishes to spend more than the value of their gift card the remaining balance will be payable by credit or debit card at checkout. If a product is out of stock at the point of redeeming, please email hello@wearejunius.com and we will get back to you with options.

SUBSCRIPTIONS:



How do subscriptions work?

You can choose between fortnightly and monthly subscription deliveries when ordering a subscription.

Once processed, you will be invited to manage and access your subscription via an account. In this space, you can see upcoming shipments, change your delivery plans, and even pause or cancel your commitment!

All subscriptions are processed from the day of the purchase- with money being taken for the goods on a monthly or fortnightly basis as per your agreed subscription order. 



Changing frequency?

If you would like to make a change to the frequency of your subscription- you can do so through your account. You can find your account by using our standard login process via the website, or by using the handy link we send to your email after purchase.

 We have a standard 8-day policy to amend any deliveries as per our terms and conditions. Please ensure that you pause or push back deliveries with enough time to spare.



Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Absolutely. You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime. Simply log onto your account and click the cancel or pause button. To pause your next subscription, click the pause button next to your new delivery date.



Can I amend the content of my subscription box?


Yes, you can swap your choice to any other box of juices at the same value. Drop us an email at hello@wearejunius.com with 72 hours notice and we will amend for you.



How much notice do I need to give to make changes to my subscription?

You can change your subscription by giving us 8 days’ notice. Simply log onto your account using your order number and request a pause or delivery push back. If you have any issues with accessing the booking you would like to amend, please email us at hello@wearejunius.com  Unfortunately, any changes requested after this deadline may not be accommodated as your juices could already be on their way.

ORDERING + DELIVERY FAQ:


When will my order arrive?

 

Typically your delivery will arrive within 2 or 3 days from ordering. Orders placed Monday-Wednesday will be dispatched on the next working day. Orders on a Thursday (pre noon) will be dispatched same day. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. Please contact us at hello@wearejunius.com to upgrade (further costs may apply) for a weekend delivery. If your mobile number is included when ordering, DPD, our delivery partner, will contact you on your delivery day by 11am with your 1-hour delivery time. Otherwise you will receive an email with tracking information so please keep an eye on your Spam folder and add our email to your Safe List.

 

What days do you deliver?

 

We deliver to homes, offices, spas, hotels and gyms across the UK, Tuesday-Friday, with deliveries on Saturday for an additional charge. Please see above.


Where do you deliver?

We deliver to Mainland UK (excluding Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland).


Can I change my order?

Once your order is placed it starts being prepared so we usually can’t make any changes. However, email hello@wearejunius.com with your order number and the team will look into it for you.


How much does delivery cost?

Great news! Delivery is free on orders over £45. Otherwise, it’s a flat rate of £7.50.


What if I’m not at home?

It’s very important that once received, your chilled bottles are removed from the delivery box and refrigerated as soon as possible. They will come with an ice pack so can be left in a designated safe place or with a neighbour, however we would advise that you are available to accept goods at your allocated delivery window.


PACKAGING FAQ:


Is your packaging recyclable?


Yes, this is really important to us. Our bottles are made from recycled plastic, as glass bottles aren’t compatible with HPP, a process we use to kill off potential harmful pathogens found in natural juice (see our ‘Why cold pressed’ section for more information).


We strive to do the best for the environment and we are always on the lookout for ways to improve our packaging. As it stands, and after much research, compostable packaging (PLA) isn’t a viable option as they can complicate the problem rather than solving it. Most recycling centres and landfill sites can’t process PLA. We eagerly await the plastic industry to come up with better solutions. Our deliveries are made in cardboard boxes with paper liners, both of which are kerbside recyclable.
